Data Sharing and Collaboration (ShareFile) Training

ShareFile is the service that allows members of a Secure Computing Data Storage (SCDS) group file share to share Level 4 data with internal and external collaborators. It also allows internal and external collaborators to submit Level 4 data to be stored into SCDS, so that it aligns with the University of Calgary storage security policies.

The following materials give you a broad overview of the Data Sharing and Collaboration service and step-by-step instructions for all the use cases you will encounter while using this service.

User guides

There are two user guides available. Internal Collaborators (anybody with a UCalgary email account) have access to a user guide with all use-cases available, including file sharing. External Collaborators (users with non-UCalgary email accounts) have a reduced user guide that explains how to view and download files shared and how to submit files when requested.
